Want handy soffritto cubes to throw directly in the pan?
Ice them!
You just have to choose your favorite ingredients: carrots, onion, garlic, herbs, etc...
slice them, dice them or whatever...
place them in an ice tray, mixed.
cover them with extravirgin olive oil
...and freeze them.
When you need a fresh soffritto base take a cube, place it on a pan, low heat, wait a few minutes... got it!
